Review by hotel critic
As an environmental scientist and an advocate for sustainable travel, my recent stay at Lima Bintang offered a unique perspective on the balance between luxury and value in eco-tourism. The accommodation is straightforward, providing a clean and spacious room that met my basic needs, featuring a functional bathroom and an efficient fan system for comfortable temperatures during the night. The inviting pool and shared garden area present a pleasant retreat, while the free Wi-Fi enabled me to stay connected effortlessly. The breakfast options, notably pancakes and eggs, were appreciated, enhancing the overall experience. I found the amenities fairly basic, which might lead to questions about the value proposition-especially as it approaches a higher price point compared to similar offerings. While the staff's warmth creates a welcoming atmosphere, the accommodations lack some luxury touches. For travelers seeking a balance between simplicity and moderate pricing, Lima Bintang could serve as a suitable option, particularly for those who appreciate the charm of traditional island life without overindulging in costs.
